The festive season is here and it’s impossible to remain unaffected by the positivity and good cheer that’s all around. As people come together to celebrate festivals and spend time with each other, there’s a certain sense of joy that envelops us.

When shared with others, this positivity and joy increases manifold. Research has also shown that helping others makes us happier in return. Determined to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged, young entrepreneurs from QNet India decided to celebrate this festive season by donating to a number of causes.

Taking forward QNet’s foundational principle, RYTHM (Raise Yourself To Help Mankind), 1500 entrepreneurs from across India came together under the banner of ‘Spirit of Giving’, a nationwide voluntary program aimed at giving back to the society.

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”– Mahatma Gandhi.

In its fourth consecutive year, the program featured 39 events across 21 cities. The QNet entrepreneurs contributed between INR 50,000 and INR 1 lakh per city for various noble causes. The funds were utilised in helping  orphanages, old age homes, homes for the disabled, and providing education and life-saving medical treatment to children in need.

The first initiative was launched in Mysore where a group of 30 entrepreneurs donated groceries, spices, kids’ stationery and toiletries to the orphanage Sri Chayadevi Anathashrama.

In Bengaluru, a series of seven events were conducted across various organisations including Nirmala Sishubhavan where they distributed groceries and toiletries.

People at the Home for Disabled in Hyderabad were treated to a special lunch and a team of 50 entrepreneurs contributed groceries, daily needs amenities and toiletries worth INR 2 lakh.

In Pune, more than 60 entrepreneurs came together to distribute groceries, healthcare and daily hygiene products at the orphanage Sanmati Bal Niketan Sanstha. What was priceless, and came through, naturally, was infinite happiness!

“We all come from different walks of life. Some of us are in IT companies, some are engineers, and some work in sales for large MNCs. What brings us together is our work with QNet in India. We are all pursuing our entrepreneurial dreams with QNet and many of us have managed to transform our lives. It is a privilege to be able to give back to our communities and help others in small and humble ways. This is what QNet has taught us and we are taking it forward”, said Shalin, one of the QNet entrepreneurs on site.

About 500 entrepreneurs gathered in Delhi and its neighbouring areas to contribute to five different organisations. They distributed stationery and eatables at Nai Disha Free Education Society in Noida, clothes, toys and toiletries at the orphanage Bal Sahyog, groceries, and healthcare and daily hygiene products at Grace Homes, Indirapuram, among others.

Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Hubli, Mangalore, Lucknow, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Jammu and Meerut witnessed similar initiatives from 14 October to 7 November 2018.

QNet Global CEO Trevor Kuna applauded the efforts of the entrepreneurs, stating,” “The initiative undertaken by our Independent Representatives in their individual capacity is encouraging. QNet’s underlying philosophy of RYTHM – Raise Yourself To Help Mankind is the driving force behind a lot of what we do. It is a reflection of our business, which is about empowering people to take control of their lives and in the process help empower their communities.”
