The foundation of QNET was built on the strength of its vast and diverse communities around the world. After the recent devastating rains and flooding in Chennai that ravaged local communities, affecting thousands of families, including many of our IRs, the focus now is now rebuilding and rehabilitation.
At the recent IIFA Utsavam held in Hyderabad, the first of its kind awards ceremony from the IIFA stable to honor South Indian Film talent, the theme was #Be1forChennai. QNET was delighted to partner with this glittering event and contribute to the Tamilnadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund towards rehabilitation projects. QNET We Care, the CSR initiative of QNET in India made a donation of Rs.75 Lakhs and the cheque was handed over by QNET Chairman Richard Zinkiewicz in the presence of the Telangana Chief Minister Mr. K Chandrasekhar Rao.
“We are here for a very special occasion. We are here not only to recognise the stars, but we’re here to make a difference. QNET has been making a difference through RYTHM – Raising Yourself to Help Mankind. I am very proud and honoured to be on this great stage with this great man to make a small, humble contribution to the flood victims of Chennai on behalf of IIFA”, said Richard Zinkiewicz said as he handed the donation to the Telangana Minister of Commercial Taxes.
This donation follows an earlier effort, in partnership with the Lions Club to provide relief kits to support 200 families that had lost their homes to the floods. The relief kits included sheets, mats, cooking pots and other household items that would help the families to get back on their feet.
