What is your skin type? Dry? But don’t you have some oily areas and breakouts sometimes? Is it oily? But do you remember that last time it started peeling? If your skin is sensitive and prone to irritation, is it irritated and sensitive all the time? So many variations to the skin type and so many complicated ways to take care of it!

Do the different skin types really exist, or were they created as a marketing and advertising tactic by beauty companies to sell more products?

The thing is, we all have skin that shares the same physiology. Male, female, Indian, Chinese, African, Caucasian – it does not matter. What you see on the outside is a result of our skin’s reaction to external factors, our health, and what we put inside our bodies. Our skin physiology is the same, but we live under different conditions and hence, our skin reacts to different factors in certain ways.

For example, hot temperatures make skin oily because adrenaline induces additional oil secretion to protect skin from the heat and sun. In colder climates, the skin dries out. Skin irritation is a common reaction often caused by the wrong skincare regimen.

Here is an important question: if a certain ingredient is harmful for one skin type, do you think it can do much good for another skin type?

We know that most alcohol-based liquids should not be used on dry skin since alcohol dries skin out. At the same time, it is included in products for oily skin to prevent oiliness and to mattify skin. As a result, skin tries to fight this artificial dryness and starts producing more oil. This is why your mattifying lotions work great once you start using them but cannot fight the oiliness two weeks later after you’ve told your friends that you finally found your remedy!

And what about ‘oil-free’ products for oily skin? Not having oil means having alcohol and don’t you think there was a reason for using natural oils in cosmetics for centuries? We try to help our skin, but led by colourful advertising, we end up causing it more harm than good.

The solution, however, is simpler than it may seem. Our body is smart and can take care of itself. What we have to do is to help our skin utilise the body’s own functions to stimulate its natural rejuvenation process. In addition to leading a healthy lifestyle and eating a balanced diet, it is important to find a skincare system that helps your skin instead of harming it.

Physio Radiance is a scientific and technological breakthrough that teaches your skin to rely on itself to regulate and repair. The Physio Radiance skincare system gives your skin cells all they need to activate themselves and blossom. It is the only high-end, hypoallergenic, unisex skin care range that helps your skin self-regulate, self-regenerate, and self-repair at a cellular level. All products in this range are parabens and preservative-free.

Chinese philosopher Lao Tsu once said: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Help your skin take care of itself and you’ll forget what ‘skin type’ was written on all those bottles and jars of well-marketed cosmetic products you once tried.

The Physio Radiance ReplenisH- Pack includes a cleanser, toner, serum and a day and night moisturising fluid.
